Terms & Conditions BabySitting Membership

Home Organisers is an introduction services for the provision of babysitting and will endeavour to introduce to the client, applicants on the Home Organisers register.

Home Organisers undertake to ensure that all applicants on the register have been carefully selected and Home Organisers endeavours to introduce the highest calibre applicant, but cannot be held liable for any loss, damage or personal injury arising from an introduction. The responsibility as to the suitability of an applicant rests with the client.

Home Organisers’ selection process includes the following:-

  • A written application
  • Checks by sight of documents and records supporting the applicants identity
  • A face to face interview
  • Two references to ascertain character and reliability are supplied
  • All successful applicants are then reviewed and approved by Home Organisers before they are sent on any babysitting assignment

Access to the babysitting agency is by membership.
Fees currently stand at £10 per month - (payable quarterly by automatic subscription) - or £99 payable yearly (by post).
When joining the agency employers are liable for a £50 joining fee in addition the above payment.
If the membership lapses for a period of 30 days or more the employer will be liable to repay the joining fee.
All fees are inclusive of VAT.
If a booking is cancelled within 6 hours of the due start time, the employer will be subject to a charge equal to half of the booked sit time, payable to the babysitter, to a maximum of £15.

Home Organisers is an introduction and booking agency, and does not operate a payroll. Home Organisers is not responsible for the administration or payment of tax or national insurance liability for applicants or clients. Should your employee earn sufficient to become liable for income tax or national insurance the client is responsible for making deductions under PAYE and maintaining any records the Inland Revenue may require. Conditions

By agreeing with these terms and conditions, the client undertakes to make all bookings of Home Organisers babysitters through Home Organisers. Private approaches to Employees are not permitted. If a client is found to have made an offer of childcare employment to an applicant originally booked through Home Organisers the clients membership will be cancelled immediately. No further bookings will be accepted or refunds of any monies paid. The client will be liable in damages to Home Organisers to compensate Home Organisers in respect of all past, present and future losses by reason of any breach of the above undertaking to a maximum of £1000.

The client accepts that whilst Home Organisers will endeavour to supply a suitable applicant to meet their babysitting requirements, this is not always possible and is by no means guaranteed.

The client is responsible for the instruction and direction of the applicant for the duration of the babysitting appointment. The client is responsible for ensuring the applicant clearly understands the needs of the client’s children and expected duties.

In the unlikely event that a pre booked employee cancels at short notice or fails to arrive at the appointed time Home Organisers will use its best endeavours to find another suitable applicant for the client. Home Organisers is not responsible for any loss suffered as a result of the failure of the applicant to keep the appointment.
