Terms and Conditions - Domestic Services

Offers of employment to an applicant are deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Home Organisers is a provider of domestic employment introduction services. Home Organisers undertakes to ensure that all applicants on the register have been carefully selected. Home Organisers endeavours to introduce the highest calibre applicant, but we cannot be held liable for any loss, damage or personal injury arising from an introduction. The responsibility as to the suitability of an applicant rests with the client.

Home Organisers' selection process includes the following:-

  • An application by the prospective applicant
  • Identity checks by sight of documents and records supporting the applicants identity
  • A face to face interview
  • Two references to ascertain character and reliability are supplied
All successful applicants are then reviewed and approved by Home Organisers before they are sent on any domestic employment.

Agency Fees

Permanent Placements:
1 day per week  - £200
2 days per week - £275
3 days per week - £350
4 days per week - £475
5 days per week - £550

Temporary Placements:
Agency fees for the placement of temporary staff, per week:

Minimum charge/first day £30 and £10 per day thereafter
Monday to Friday inclusive is £70
This fee is payable prior to commencement of the first engagement.

Home Organisers is an introduction agency and does not operate a payroll and is not responsible for the administration or payment of tax or national insurance liability for applicants or clients. All wages for both permanent and temporary staff should be made direct to your employee. Should your employee earn sufficient to become liable for income tax or national insurance the client is responsible for making deductions under PAYE and return to the Inland Revenue. The employer is responsible for maintaining any records the Inland Revenue may require. We recommend www.nannytax.co.uk or www.stafftax.co.uk to help with this.

Conditions

The client agrees to inform Home Organisers of any change to the agreed terms and conditions of employment with the employee prior to this change taking place. Extensions of employment or re-engagement of staff must be arranged through Home Organisers and are subject to additional fees. The client will be liable in damages to Home Organisers to compensate Home Organisers in respect of all past, present and future losses by reason of any breach of the above undertaking to a maximum of £1000.

Refunds and Guarantee of agency fees

Refunds of Permanent staff placement agency fees will be paid if:-

  • The client has paid the agency fees in full and within 5 days of invoice date
  • The applicant fails to carry out their obligations providing that the obligations were as agreed under the mutually agreed conditions of employment
  • A suitable replacement cannot be found
  • The client informs the agency within 5 days of the employee leaving their employment
A refund will be offered on the following basis:-
  • Termination of employment during the first 2 weeks – 75% of introduction fee repaid
  • Termination of employment during the first 4 weeks – 50% of introduction fee repaid
  • Termination of employment during the first 6 weeks - 25% of introduction fee repaid

Termination of employment after 6 weeks will not be subject to a refund, but Home Organisers agree to endeavour to place another suitable applicant with the client, but this cannot be guaranteed.

The Guarantee will be void if the original job specification/contract has been changed.

Refunds for Temporary Staff will be made at the Agency’s discretion.

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, Home Organisers will not pass on, share or sell your information to any third party. Information will only be used for the service that you have requested. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
