How do I contact Home Organisers?
Can Home Organisers help me with daytime childcare?
Yes. We have a number of babysitters who are happy to work during the day
and we are also able to offer help with school runs and after school care.
It is wise to book daytime babysits as far in advance as possible as they
are very popular.
Will I have an allocated babysitter?
No, but you will build up a preference list and we always try to fill baby-sits
with the first priority given to your preference. If this is not possible
we supply babysitters whom we feel meet your requirements and you can have
every confidence that she will be an experienced and reliable babysitter.
Can I book directly with the babysitter?
We have to say no to this - it may seem easier, but it disrupts our availability
sheets and affects our staff ratios seriously impacting on the quality of
service that we can offer. Please do not book babysitters directly - they
know it’s against company policy and it can be very embarrassing.
All of our babysitters are contracted to refuse any offer of employment
directly from parents introduced by Home Organisers. When you complete the
family registration form you are agreeing to make all bookings for babysitters
introduced by Home Organisers through Home Organisers only. Any breach of
these conditions will result in termination of membership and cancellation
of the babysitters contract with Home Organisers. Any breach of these conditions will result in termination of client membership and removal of the babysitter from our register.

Are all Home Organisers babysitters police checked?
Yes. We are pleased to say that all Home Organiser babysitters have an enhanced CRB check.

I have four children - do I have to pay extra?
No - all children from the same family are charged at the same rate. However,
children visiting from another family will incur a £2 per hour additional
charge.

Are there any hidden costs?
No, we do not charge any extra costs, but do request that the babysitting membership is used in a fair manner.

Can I ask my babysitter to do household chores?
No. The babysitter is employed to meet your child’s needs. There are no
further expectations placed on the babysitter. However, for an additional
fee some babysitters are happy to iron whilst the children are asleep. Please
enquire.

Do I have to pay the babysitter for their travelling time or costs?
No - the babysitter is liable for their own travelling expenses. However,
please note that you need to pay your babysitter in full in cash at the
end of the baby-sit and that it is recommended that you round up fractions
of an hour to the nearest quarter of an hour.

How much notice do I need to give for you to find me a babysitter?
You are more likely to get your preferred babysitter the earlier that you
place your booking. If you know that you need a babysitter for a future
event - even 2-3 months ahead - request your babysit now. We aim to meet
last minute requests, but we can’t guarantee it. This is particularly
applicable to day time baby-sits. The bottom line is that we will pull out
all the stops to meet your request, with a babysitter of your choice, even
if you phone on the day of the baby-sit. However life is much easier if
you give as much notice as possible.

Can I meet the babysitter before the sit?
Unfortunately, it is not usually possible to meet the babysitter prior to
your baby-sit. We do however suggest that when you make your booking that
you make it for 30 minutes prior to the time that you are due to leave.
This will give you and your children time to familiarise yourselves with
your babysitter and should allay any worries that you or they may have.
By talking to the babysitter, you will be able to point out a favorite toy
that is used to help a child settle, or a much loved book that brings enjoyment.
We find that older children feel comfortable if they engage in a game with
the babysitter. We have every confidence that even after a short time with
one of our excellent babysitters any concerns will have disappeared.

What happens if I have to cancel a baby-sit?
If a booking is cancelled within 6 hours of the due start time, the employer
will be subject to a charge equal to half of the booked sit time, payable
to the babysitter, to a maximum of £15. To cancel a baby-sit out of office
hours, please use the mobile number 07747 088783 which we carry specifically
for urgent calls.
