Overview
A warm and welcoming family based in Weybridge are seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Nanny to help support the smooth running of their busy family home.
The family live in a four-bedroom, six-bathroom family home with their two children, aged 4 and 7, and their friendly Mini Labradoodle. They are looking for a proactive and highly organised individual who can take ownership of the day-to-day household tasks whilst helping with the children when required.
This is a varied role with a strong emphasis on housekeeping and household organisation, combined with some childcare support. Duties will include hands-on housekeeping, laundry and ironing, meal preparation, errands, dog walking, household organisation projects and helping the family maintain a calm, organised and well-run home.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys creating order, notices what needs doing and takes pride in helping a busy household run efficiently. A positive attitude, good sense of humour and willingness to muck in wherever needed are all important qualities.
The position is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility around how these hours are worked. The family are happy to consider mornings, afternoons, or a mixture of both for the right candidate.

Duties to include:
Housekeeping
- Hands-on housekeeping and upkeep of the family home
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
- Changing bed linen
- Maintaining high standards of organisation throughout the home
- Organising cupboards, wardrobes, storage areas and household systems
- Keeping the kitchen, utility room and family living areas tidy and organised
- Monitoring household supplies and advising when replacements are required
Childcare Support
- Helping with the children when required
- Assisting around school-related routines
- Being an extra pair of hands during busy periods
- Supervising the children on occasion when needed
- Supporting the family with practical childcare-related tasks
Cooking & Meal Preparation
- Preparing simple, healthy family meals
- Meal preparation and batch cooking where appropriate
- Managing fridge, freezer and cupboard organisation
- Assisting with grocery shopping and household purchases
Household Support
- Running local errands
- Returning parcels and undertaking household shopping
- Assisting with larger household organisation projects, such as organising playrooms, garages, storage areas and household systems
- Sorting and preparing items for donation or charity shop drop-offs where required
- Taking initiative to identify areas where support is needed
- Helping the household run smoothly on a day-to-day basis
Pet Care
- Walking the family dog
- Providing general care for the dog during working hours
Requirements for this position:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail
- Previous childcare experience
- Driver with own car
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Reliable, trustworthy and professional
- Positive and flexible attitude
- Strong communication skills
