Summary:

Our client are a professional couple seeking a full-time (48 hrs/week), live-out housekeeper with childcare duties in Burnham Beeches to perform general housekeeping work and supervise their two children outside school hours. The ideal candidate should be reliable, tidy, friendly, full of energy and flexible. It is essential to be a non-smoker, have a valid full driving licence and be proficient in English.

Housekeeping duties:

  • Tidying, daily spot cleaning and general organisation (cleaner employed twice a week for deep cleans)
  • Making and changing beds
  • Organising closets, pantry, and storage spaces as needed
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Watering plants
  • Running errands dry cleaning, post office drop offs, ad hoc shopping for the children, etc.
  • Ordering, receiving and unpacking grocery deliveries
  • Family Style Cooking

Childcare duties:

  • Assisting the children with their morning routines, including dressing, breakfast, and preparing for school
  • School drop off and collection and taking to afterschool activities
  • Packing the children's bags for each day's activities
  • Supervising homework and playtime after school
  • Transport children to and from holiday camps
  • Provide day care as appropriate, including simple supervision, supervising playdates with friends and accompanying them on outings
  • Provide a nurturing and positive environment
  • Taking care of children in case of illness or injury
  • Modelling and reinforcing appropriate social behaviours (e.g., being respectful and helpful) and good manners
