Summary
This is a live-in Housekeeper / Companion role supporting a kind, independent principal across her homes in Doncaster and London, with occasional stays in Monaco. The role combines responsibility for maintaining homes to a high standard with providing companionship and day-to-day practical support.
The principal is fully independent and requires no personal care. She is seeking someone capable of confidently managing the household while also being a warm, positive, and engaging presence. This position would suit someone experienced in private households who is comfortable working independently and values building a trusted, long-term working relationship.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping and Household Management
Full responsibility for the day-to-day cleanliness and upkeep of the homes
Maintaining all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas, to a high standard
Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
Keeping the homes organised, tidy and well-presented
Ensuring the homes remain comfortable and ready for daily living
Cooking
Preparing simple, fresh and healthy meals
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
Companionship and Lifestyle Support
Providing day-to-day companionship
Accompanying the principal on outings such as theatre visits, meals out, shopping and cultural events
Being a warm, positive and supportive presence within the household
Providing practical day-to-day support while fully respecting the principal's independence
Driving and Travel Support
Driving for appointments, errands and outings
Accompanying the principal between residences in Doncaster and London (by train)
Providing practical support during travel, including occasional international trips
Requirements
Previous experience working as a housekeeper in a private household
Confident in managing and maintaining a private home independently
Warm, kind and positive personality
Reliable, organised and proactive approach
Discreet and trustworthy
Comfortable living in and travelling as part of the role
Confident driver with a clean licence
