Summary
A highly rewarding full-time Companion position working with a warm and respectful private family based in Greenwich, South East London.
This role involves supporting an engaging, bright 18-year-old autistic woman in her daily routine, providing consistent companionship, encouragement, and practical assistance. She benefits from structure, calm guidance and positive one-to-one engagement.
This is a companion-focused role within a private household and does not involve personal care. The emphasis is on presence, emotional consistency, routine support and building a trusted, long-term relationship.
The structured four-day workweek provides continuity while offering three consecutive full days off each week, creating an excellent balance between professional commitment and personal time.
This position would suit a capable, emotionally intelligent and grounded individual who enjoys meaningful one-to-one work and is seeking a long-term role within a private family environment.
Key Responsibilities
Companionship and Daily Support
* Providing calm, consistent one-to-one companionship
* Supporting daily routines, activities and outings

Lifestyle and Practical Support
* Driving to activities, appointments and outings
* Preparing simple meals and snacks
* Supporting organisation of daily routines
* Light tidying and general household support as part of the day
* Caring for the family's cats
Household and Organisational Support
* Running errands when required
* Supporting day-to-day organisation and planning
* Administering medication via a dosette box where required
Requirements
- Experience supporting autistic individuals, or experience in SEN, education, childcare, healthcare or a private household similar setting
* Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent approach
* Warm, positive and engaging personality
* Reliable, organised and consistent
* Able to provide steady, grounded and reassuring support
* Confident driver with a full UK driving licence
* First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
* Fluent English essential
* Enhanced DBS required or willingness to obtain
